Servo Robot Guns

Obara began manufacturing servo operated weld guns in the late 1990’s. With superior performance to the previous pneumatic technology, servo guns quickly became the industry standard for the automotive industry. Obara has worked with our customers over the years to develop a superior servo weld gun design by focusing on modularity, lightweight components, and ease of maintenance.

Portable Trans Guns

Also known as IT guns, Obara’s trans integrated portable gun helps to reduce overall electric consumption and increase welding efficiency by having the transformer integrated into the gun body assembly, which also helps with welding line ergonomic issues.

Custom Weld Guns

Obara offers a full range of welding guns including but not limited to, Pneumatic Robot, Portable, and Fixture or Hard Tool guns. Our design team is able to customize any gun to fit your needs.

Electrodes and Adapters

Obara offers a full line of ISO and RWMA standard electrodes in a variety of materials, diametersand lengths suitable for all applications. Obara’s electrodes and adapters are manufactured to stringent guidelines to ensure the best possible connections. This improves tip alignment and reduces resistance to help create a better weld.

Transformers

Obara offers a full line of resistance spot welding transformers. Applications include portable, fixture, and robotic in both AC and MFDC. Our transformers are light and compact in order to achieve the best maneuverability, and all parts are carefully selected for superior durability.

Weld Controllers

Inverter Welding Controller	AC Welding Controller	Trantim
The Inverter Welding Controller allows lower current, lower electrode force and shorter welding cycles in comparison with an AC system. It also allows a wider range of current to be used at a given electrode force. By utilizing the Inverter system, the weight of the transformer can be reduced by up to 50%	Our Welding Controllers are user friendly and have various operations available such as spatter regulation and variable pressurizing.	Obara’s Trantim unit combines a weld controller and a transformer into one convenient package. The Trantim unit helps to simplify a portable spot welding line by minimizing floor space and wiring, without any compromises to weld capacity.

Cables and Shunts

Water Cooled Cables	Air-Cooled Cables	Laminate Shunts
Advanced technologies of wire stranding, terminal geometry, and crimping method result in exceptional resistance to wear, heat and oil.	Obara’s air-cooled cables are designed specifically for the harsh conditions of the resistance spot welding environment. Protective sleeves in several types of materials are available.	Obara’s laminate shunts are made from high conductivity materials to reduce resistance and improve longevity. We offer a wide variety of sizes and mounting patterns. Common sizes are in stock and other sizes can be quickly made to order.

Holders and Arms

Obara offers holders in all classes of copper bar and casting. They are designed working closely with the customer to fit the strictest clearances. Added attention is paid to strength and deflection. Stress analysis helps to insure the life and durability of the parts.

Gun arms are designed to meet customers throat size prerequisites while minimizing weight. Our years of experience enable us to respond to customer demands and provide them with a product optimized for their unique requirements.

Our gun arms come in a variety of materials:

• Proprietary casting material formulated for strength and conductivity.
