Page Township Update
November 2019
NOVEMBER MEETING: The next regular meeting of the Page Township Board of Supervisors will be held on Monday, November 18th at 7:00pm at the Town Hall. The meeting agenda is posted as a .pdf in the Google Drive.
US-169 INTERSECTION:
After too many fatal and serious accidents at the junction of County
Road 11 (190th Street) and US-169, most caused by T-bone collisions on
the northbound side, MnDOT is seeking to alter the traffic flow to
create a Reduced Conflict Intersection.
This arrangement forces cross traffic to travel a short distance north
or south on 169 and do a U-turn to merge back on in the opposite
direction. Although safety should be improved, this will also affect the
Page Township business district located nearby, particularly for
traffic seeking to head south out of the area. The Board will discuss
the issue at the November meeting and consider whether to make any
official recommendations to improve the current plan. Residents and affected business owners are encouraged to attend to provide input.
INTERNET SPEED:
Broadband speed throughout Page Township is often quite low, and may be
below what has been promised in marketing materials. Mille Lacs County
is requesting local residents complete an internet speed test for use by the state Office of Broadband Development for review and enforcement.
PAST MEETINGS: Meeting minutes are posted online once they have been approved by the Supervisors at the subsequent meeting. September regular minutes are now posted in the Google Drive.
