TOWNSHIP ELECTION: The 2024 election of Township officers will take place from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, March 12th at the Page Town Hall. A sample ballot is below:

Town Question 1 – Whether to Move the Town Election to November
Shall the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November be designated as the date of the Page Township general election, starting in 2024?

BALLOT QUESTION: The Supervisors have proposed a plan to move Township officer elections to November to coincide with regular voting in Presidential and midterm (Governor) elections. This would eliminate the stand-alone March Township election and allow more participation and lower costs. The change will be approved if a majority of participants vote in the affirmative during the election. Learn more about the ballot question.

ABSENTEE VOTING: The Clerk will be available for absentee voting on Saturday, March 9th from 10:00am until 12:00pm (noon).


ANNUAL MEETING
: The Page Township Annual Meeting will begin after 8:00pm following completion of the election. Members of the public are welcome but only eligible voters residing in Page Township may vote on the proceedings. During the meeting, the current Board will provide an update on the State of the Township. There will be an opportunity for questions and comments regarding Township services and the future of Page. All meeting materials will be posted on the linked website prior to the start of the meeting.


The main item of business is setting the 2025 property tax levy (though that may be delayed until later in the year if electors choose). The Supervisors have recommended a $6,000 increase in the levy for 2025 to a total of $148,000.

BOARD OF CANVASS: After adjournment of the Annual Meeting meeting, the Supervisors will meet as the Board of Canvass to certify the 2024 election results. The public is welcome to observe.

Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of Page Township, Mille Lacs County, State of Minnesota, that the Annual Election of Town Officers and Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at the Page Town Hall: 21804 – 140th Ave, Milaca.

The Election Poll hours will be from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at which time the voters will elect:

SUPERVISOR C for a three-year term (Candidates: Tom Burk, Write-in)

CLERK for a two-year term (Candidates: Kyle Weimann, Write-in)

Additionally, voters will be presented with a ballot question

–          TREASURER for a two-year term (Candidates: Laura Murphy, Write-in)

The Annual Meeting will commence at 8:00PM to conduct all business prescribed by law, including setting the 2024 property tax levy.  A remote connection via Zoom will be posted on www.PageTownship.org. Outside entities seeking Township support must submit their request in writing.

Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of Page Township, Mille Lacs County, State of Minnesota, that the Annual Election of Town Officers and Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the Page Town Hall: 21804 – 140th Avenue, Milaca.

The Election Poll hours will be from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at which time the voters will elect: 

SUPERVISOR B for a three-year term (Candidates: Jake Janski, Write-in)

CLERK for a two-year term (Candidate: Kyle Weimann, Write-in)

2021 Annual Meeting

The 2021 Annual Township Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 9 at 8:00pm. Due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, capacity in the Town Hall will be limited to 22 and masks will be required.

Residents and other interested parties are invited to participate in the meeting remotely via Zoom. Adding this capability to the Town Hall was made possible by funding from the federal CARES Act.

During the Annual Meeting, residents will vote on the 2022 property tax levy and other business as allowed and prescribed by law.

The property tax levy decision may be delayed until a later date but the Supervisors are recommending setting the 2022 levy at $144,000, no change from 2021.

Election. All eligible (registered) voters in Page Township may vote for Town Officers. Voting hours are 5:00pm – 8:00pm on March 10th at the Page Town Hall (21804 – 140th Ave, Milaca). On the ballot this year are:

  • Supervisor (Seat A) – Three-year Term

  • Supervisor (Seat C) – One-year Term (special election)

  • Clerk – Two-year Term

Annual Meeting. Any member of the public is welcome at the Annual Meeting. It is an opportunity to discuss the current and future state of the township and provide guidance and feedback to the elected Board. The annual meeting will convene at the Page Town Hall at 8:00pm, immediately following the end of voting. An agenda is available from the drive (pdf).

2021 Property Tax Levy. Residents at the annual meeting will vote for the 2021 property tax levy for each of the Township’s five operating funds (or recess the decision until a later meeting prior to September). Based on fiscal trends and anticipated needs, the Supervisors have recommended a levy of $144,000, the first change since 2016 and lower than 2011. The levy would be divided between funds as follows:
