ABOUT THE SITE

Canadian Art Gallery is a virtual exhibit of some of Canada's most exceptional artists. From W.P. Weston's striking coastal landscapes, to Richard Thomas Davis' photorealist still lives, to Gordon Smith's turbulent abstract expressionist paintings, this online gallery represents work over the past hundred years of Canadian arts. Our mission is to advance the understanding and appreciation of Canadian aritsts, whether established or unsung, past or contemporary. This site is an educational resource, as well as a tribute to the remarkable legacy of its featured artists.

Our goal is to develop a comprehensive digital exhibit that represents the broad scope of the featured Canadian Artists. The site is a work in progress, and will be updated every 6 months to include additional works and new research.

Many of the artists featured in this site have works spread throughout the world in unknown locations, in both public and private collections. If you have a drawing or painting by one of these talented Canadian artists, and would like to be part of this site, we invite you to contact us at hello@artgallerycanada.com. Private collectors will be assured of anonymity, if so desired.
