Clayton Anderson is a contemporary painter from West Vancouver. He studied Visual Communications from the Alberta College of Art & Design. After a brief stint in the advertising industry, he became a full-time artist in 1991.
Inspired by iconic Canadian painters such as Emily Carr and Lawren Harris, Clayton’s paintings demonstrate a strong understanding of composition as well as a subtle, luminescent rendering of light. His work evokes a distinct power of place and have a unique, painterly quality. He is best known for his landscapes of the south west coast of BC.
